End of Year Concert: Peter Pan

Concert Details

Preston Classes:
Rehearsal: Thur 26th Nov, 4pm-7:15pm
Performance: Sat 5th December.
(Arrive 3pm / Show starts 4pm / End 6pm)

 

Fairfield Classes: 
Rehearsal: Friday 27th Nov, 4pm-7pm
Performance: Sat 5th December.
(Arrive 10am / Show starts 11am / End 1pm)

  • There will be no Starlets/Comets classes running at either studio on the following dates: Thursday 26th November, Friday 27th November, Saturday 5th December.
  • If you use a locker at Rain & Lucky, don’t forget to get your things out before concert weekend!


REHEARSAL DAY

  • No costumes required – just dance uniform/shoes.
  • Students should come to the theatre straight after school.
  • Drop off and pick-up at the main entrance foyer.
  • Bring a snack/dinner (no nuts please) and a water bottle.

Concert Day

 

What to Bring 

  • Come dressed and ready in concert costume, with hair and make-up done (make-up is optional)
  • Dance tights, dance shoes and hair kits (not sure what you need? – just ask us!)
  • Bring enough food for the day (non-messy, and no nuts)
  • A named water bottle
 

Costumes 

  • Costumes will be handed out in the weeks before the concert and in most cases are yours to keep. 
  • Some are on a hire basis from Rain & Lucky and will be marked as so. These should be returned to the studio after the concert.


Hair

  • Ballet students: Tidy ballet bun with pins, hairnet and lots of spray/gel. Here’s a bun tutorial.
  • Non-ballet students: Tidy high ponytail with lots of spray/gel
  • Boys, or anyone with very short hair: Tidy hair


Make-up

  • Stage make-up is recommended. If you’d like to do it, here’s a suggested template.
  • We recommend not applying lipstick before drop-off, just pack it in the student’s bag and they can apply it/ask a teacher to apply it before the performance.


Tights, shoes, body stockings

  • Ballet tights are required for all female ballet students.
  • Tan tights for all other styles, including Acro.
  • Dance shoes relevant to your dance style.
  • No shoes for Acro.
  • Black runners for Hip Hop.
  • A body stocking is required if a student has more than one costume; this allows them to change backstage.
     

Videos / music for practice

  • We will soon upload videos for anyone who wants to practice at home. In the meantime, here is the music.


Sign-in/Sign-out

For child safety and ease of operations, parents/guardians are not permitted in any backstage areas. We kindly ask that you “kiss and drop” and let our expert staff do what we do best. 

Concert Tickets

  • Tickets will be available to purchase from October 21st. 
  • Performing students do not require a ticket,
  • Children under the age of 5 do not require a ticket if they will be sitting on your lap.
  • If you have family members who require accessible seating, please email us.
