Our enrolment process is simple!
Your Frequently Asked Questions, answered...
No, you can enrol any time. We don’t recommend waiting for a new term as your chosen class is likely to fill up.
Please view our fee info by clicking here. Our fees are all-inclusive, meaning there are no surprise extras such as costume or rehearsal fees. Most classes require a uniform which you will need to purchase at the start of your enrolment. We’ll send you the info you need, and you can view our uniform list here.
If you are enrolling in Term 3 or 4, a one-off Late Start Admin Fee of $70 (in Term 3) or $100 (in Term 4) will be charged per class, to cover the backordering of concert costumes, concert videos and rehearsal fees, which are usually paid off over the full year. This does not apply to Level 1 students, Twinkle Tots or adults.

We have an easy to use parent portal where you can view your calendar, add classes, update card details, view choreography videos and more.
For Stardust (pre-school) classes, maximum 10 students.
For Upper School (school-aged) classes, maximum of between 12 and 16, depending on the age and style.
Many of our classes are much smaller, and many have assistant teachers as well!
No, however you are welcome to do a trial class before deciding on enrolment.
Absolutely! Click here to book a trial. There is nothing to pay up front. If you decide to enrol after your trial, the trial class is paid for as part of your first month’s fees.
Students of all genders are welcome in our classes. While most of our students are girls, we are always keen to welcome more boys to dance! If you’d like to know if there are any boys in a specific class, just ask.
You are welcome to watch the first class, however in general parents do not watch. We encourage our students to build confidence and independence and save the audience for concert time!
We have viewing windows into most of our studios so you can always sneak a peek of what students are up to.
We understand that very young/shy children may take some time to settle in and that is totally fine – we can just play it by ear.
For pre-schoolers who aren’t ready for their parent to leave the room, we created the Twinkle Tots class!
No, you are welcome to drop and go if you like – as long as your child doesn’t need assistance for anything personal (such as using the bathroom). Or if you prefer, you are welcome to wait in our foyer.

We started with our daughter last year. She loves to go every Friday, on the way home enthusiastically talks about the teachers and what she learned. My daughter and I have loved being part of the Rain and Lucky community. She did Jazz at the Preston studio last year and is doing Musical Theatre this year. The teachers are friendly and supportive and she just has a blast. We had found it hard to find a sport that she loved before but dancing just gives her so much joy and energy. The studio is very easy to engage with and has a great parent portal. Fees are easy to understand and include costume and concert fees so there is not unexpected surprise costs or sewing. Classes include all levels from beginners to advanced ballet and are suitable and inclusive of all genders. Highly recommended!

All of the teachers at Rain & Lucky are the perfect combination of professional and patient. The dance studios themselves are bright and spacious; there is a kitchenette to make a cuppa while you wait at pickup time, two individual changing rooms and two toilets.Note that the building itself has been designed to be accessible for all abilities and ages.

My daughter has been attending Rain & Lucky for 5 years. We have found Miss Rain and Miss Rachel to be very dedicated in providing the highest quality experience, skills and technique to all their students. It’s been a pleasure being part of the Rain & Lucky community. This is my daughter’s 2rd dance studio. After a disappointing experience at her 1st studio, I was encouraged to call Miss Rain by a local school mum. Rain and Lucky is a fantastic dance studio with experienced, professional, dedicated and friendly staff. It’s has a wonderful culture….every student is treated with respect and encouraged to enjoy the experience of dance regardless of ability. Miss Rain and all her staff are truly amazing. As a dance teacher myself I was very particular about what I wanted in a school for my daughter. She joined Rain and Lucky’s Creative Dance class when she was 2.5. Being the youngest in the class I wasn’t sure how she would go following along, but the class is so fun and so well designed for this age group that she has a ball. Miss Rain is a calm and gentle teacher and manages the requirements of this age group brilliantly. You can see that her own passion for dance is translated into her older students as they perform with such presence and maturity already. Highly recommend this school.

My 4 year old attends the creative dance classes and they are delightful; there’s a gentle structure and pace and the teachers are warm and patient and clearly love working with the kids. There’s nothing over the top in terms of performance etc, it’s very focused on the kids and their learning. We absolutely love Rain & Lucky.

A beautifully inclusive dance school which my daughter absolutely loves. The girls and boys are encouraged to do their best without negativity and regardless of natural skill level which will always vary. The young ballet class manages to be a formal ballet lesson, teaching all the required technique, but above all dancing for the fun and love of dance.
