Choose your classes
Ballet
Classical, graceful and full of history with a gentle emphasis on self-discipline. Ballet is the perfect technical foundation for all other dance styles, and it is our specialty. Students may choose to work towards Royal Academy of Dance exams for even greater progression and achievement. Ballet classes also include a National Character component, teaching various European folk dances used in famous ballets such as Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Contemporary
Contemporary dance originated from ballet technique but is more ‘modern’ with fewer technical ‘rules’.Movement options are unlimited in contemporary and your child will gain greater spatial and body awareness, improvisation skills and freedom of expression.

Jazz
Characterised by sharper, more dynamic movement, jazz is usually danced to modern popular (age-appropriate) music. This is a super fun, energetic, confidence-building style. Best results if also taking ballet, which gives students the best technical foundation and body awareness. We also highly recommend taking Jazz if taking Musical Theatre – the two go hand in hand.

Pathway Extension Program
Pathway is a program designed for dedicated and passionate ballet students who have the potential to take their training to the next level. It is an opportunity to fine-tune and advance technical skills, musicality, artistry and performance skills, and develop a deeper understanding of various aspects of ballet including history, anatomy, terminology and etiquette – all of which contribute to the developing artist as a whole.

Increase confidence, make new friends, develop skills in team work, communication, emotional intelligence, physical development, literacy, cooperation, learn about the craft of acting… the benefits of drama classes are endless! Kids will develop improvisation skills through drama games, explore scripts and characters, and develop confidence in the most fun way. They will also learn stagecraft and the process of putting on a play, culminating in a studio performance.

For kids who love variety we highly recommend musical theatre. Classes combine acting, singing and dancing and are wonderful for boosting confidence and fostering creativity. Kids will learn repertoire from classic and popular musicals such as Hairspray, West Side Story, Aladdin, The Lion King and more.

Hip-Hop dance class for kids! Your child will learn the fundamentals of hip-hop dance with experienced instructors. We’ll cover various styles, include warm-ups, techniques, and choreography. We also emphasize creativity and self-expression.

Pointe
All ballet dancers want to dance en pointe! This takes years of careful training, including a minimum of two weekly ballet classes from the age of 8 (approx). Once dancers have reached the required physical development they are able to attend pre-pointe classes and they must attend an assessment with our dance physio to ensure they are ready to safely progress onto pointe
