What is Aspire?
Aspire is Rain & Lucky’s classical ballet extension program for dedicated dancers who want to refine their technique, develop their artistry and grow in confidence through additional training, personalised coaching and exciting performance opportunities.
Aspire includes weekly classes, regular private lessons, and – new in 2027 – The Aspire Company, with monthly Sunday rehearsals choreographed by Miss Rain!
Entry into Aspire 2027 is by audition, and students must be enrolled in at least two weekly ballet classes for the entire year.
About The Company
Once a month, on Sundays, the entire Aspire Company meets for rehearsals with Miss Rain. This experience is designed to give young dancers a taste of professional life: learning choreography quickly, refining it, and being part of creating a ballet from the ground up. Dedicated corps de ballet training develops the precision, spatial awareness and musicality to perform as a true ensemble.
The Company introduces dancers to various aspects of ballet history, as we study a different era, style or choreographer each semester. First up, we will create a Don Quixote Suite, bursting with Spanish flair, sparkling footwork and bold characters. Semester Two will be something different!
Commitment Expectation
Team-work is an important aspect of Aspire. As such, the program requires a full-year commitment across all four terms. 100% attendance is expected at every Company rehearsal, as we’ll be creating a ballet within a limited rehearsal period.
Every dancer plays an important role!
All dates are provided in advance to help families plan ahead.

What’s Included in the Aspire Program?
- Weekly Technique Extension Class with Senior Ballet Teacher Miss Geraldine (Mondays at Preston, or Thursdays at Fairfield):
- 3 private lessons per term: Individual technique & a personalised solo
- Monthly Aspire Company Rehearsals with Miss Rain (Sundays)
- Multiple performance opportunities throughout the year
- Group & solo costume hire
- 1 excursion to see a professional ballet performance (optional extra)
Entry requirements
To qualify for Aspire, dancers must also be enrolled in at least two weekly ballet classes, for the entire year.
Most importantly, students auditioning for Aspire will need to display an eagerness and an aptitude for more serious learning, and consistent behaviour in class. This includes:
- a quiet, focused work ethic in all classes
- excellent attendance and punctuality
- attention to presentation (hair & uniform)
- regular at-home practice and commitment to improvement
- grace and respect for their teachers and all fellow students.
Aspire students are future leaders and should set an example to other Rain & Lucky students.
All dancers wishing to join Aspire 2027 must attend the Company Rehearsal on Friday 11th December 2026 (even if they are current members of Aspire). Register for the audition here.
2027 Dates and Times
Group Classes (weekly during term time)
Preston students – Mondays. Fairfield students – Thursdays.
- Aspire Junior/Intermediate (Grade 2-4 RAD): 4:15-5:30pm
- Aspire Intermediate/Advanced (Grade 5 & above RAD): 5:30-6:45pm
Sunday Company Rehearsals
- 21st February, 21st March, 18th April, 2nd May, 6th June, 18th July, 12th September, 10th October, 24th October
- 10:30am-2:30pm
- 100% attendance is required at Company Rehearsals, as we will be creating a ballet in only a few weeks.
2027 Performances
- Solo Performance Season (Friday June 4th)
- Mid-Year Concert (Saturday June 19th)
- End of Year Starlets/Comets Concerts (dates TBC) –
- End of Year Supernovas/Galaxies Concerts (dates TBC) –
- Some students will also be invited to perform their solos in the Stardust/Moonbeams Concerts (dates TBC)
- We cannot guarantee which concert each solo will be placed in – it may be in a different concert to your child’s regular classes.
2027 Fees
OPTION 1: FULL PROGRAM (weekly classes + monthly company rehearsals + 3 x private lessons per term):
$349 per month (direct debit) OR
$3,649 (upfront for the year) – save $190.00
OPTION 2: GROUP PROGRAM ONLY (weekly classes + monthly company rehearsals):
$249 per month (direct debit) OR
$2,609 (upfront for the year) – save $130.00
Fees are paid monthly by direct debit (or upfront by February 1st) and are non-refundable/transferable.
Aspire fees are separate to regular Rain & Lucky class fees. All Aspire costumes are hired out to you and included in the price; no extra costs.
