Kimberley Mear

Dance teacher

Kimberley Mear trained at a small rural school in New Zealand before attending the Mount Eden Ballet Academy Future Dancers program and then moving to Melbourne to train at Melbourne City Ballet and The National Theatre ballet School. She is now dancing with the Victorian State Ballet. Kimberley has a certificate IV in dance teaching and management and completed all her RAD exams including Advanced 2 with Distinction, as well as being awarded her solo diploma in NZAMD contemporary. She was accepted into and attended the Genee International Ballet Competition (now The Margot Fonteyn) 2019 in Toronto and also competed in the 2018 Asian Grand Prix Finals in Hong Kong. Kimberley has an abundance of performing experience competing in numerous regional, national and international competitions. Kimberley has been dancing for 17 years and has a wide range of experience in ballet as well as contemporary and jazz. Kimberley is very passionate about dance and loves to pass on what she has learnt to the next generation of passionate and enthusiastic young dancers.
