Classes resume: Monday February 2nd
We can’t wait to see everyone in the studio!

2026 Term Dates

Term 1: Mon 2nd Feb – Thur 2nd April (No classes: Mon 9th March – Labour Day)
Term 2: Mon 20th Apr – Sat 27th June (No classes: 25th Apr -ANZAC Day & Mon 8th June - King’s Birthday)
Term 3: Mon 13th July – Sat 19th Sept
Term 4: Mon 5th Oct – Sat 12th Dec (No classes: Tues 3rd Nov-Melb Cup)

Classes do not run on public holidays. If your regular class falls on a public holiday, you are welcome to arrange a make-up class. These must be booked within the same term and do not roll over.

- School Holiday Programs: 19th-22nd January and 13th-17th April - Presentation Week: May 11th-16th May – Upper School students only (not Stardust)
- Parents Watching Week: May 18th-23rd – All divisions (Stardust too!)
- Aspire Solo Performances: June 12th

Uniform Fittings

Please don't wait until term starts to get your uniform, as the first week back is always super busy!

For your convenience, our uniform shop at the PRESTON studio is open from January 19th, by appointment only.

If your child is moving up to a new level, there is a change in leotard colour.

First class?

If your child is starting at Rain & Lucky for the first time, we've made this video for just them.

We want to replace any nerves with excitement, and give them an idea of what to expect when they come to class.

We can't wait to welcome them to our R&L Family! Thanks so much to all the students and families who took part in this video.

Your Fees

Unless you have paid upfront for the year, the direct debit for your chosen classes will be processed on the first of each month, starting on February 1st.

The direct debit continues until the end of the year. If you wish to make any changes to your classes before the start of term, just let us know.

Students Using Medical Apparatus

If your child requires use of any medical apparatus, please ensure we have their current Medical Action Plan on file. You can email this to hello@rainandlucky.com

Reception Hours & Door Codes

Our Reception at both studios is open from 9am-12pm and 4pm-5:15pm (approx) on weekdays. And from 9am-1pm Saturdays.

Parents and students arriving outside of these times (while classes are on) may use the following code to enter: 8744

Please note that this code is the last 4 digits of our phone number, which you can find on the front door!

A Simple Bun Tutorial

A reminder that a ballet bun is part of the girls’ uniform requirement for ALL ballet classes for school-aged students.

Child Safety: Permission To Arrive & Leave Independently

Please review our Arriving & Departing Policy.

This details what is required in terms of safe arrival to and departure from our studios. We are aware that many students currently leave the studio independently, whether to get food, or to meet parents elsewhere.

Going forward, please ensure you have signed the Permission To Arrive and Leave Independently Form if you will not be collecting your child from inside the studio (this includes if they are walking to your car).

Pointe Shoes

All ballet dancers want to dance en pointe! This takes years of careful training, including a minimum of two weekly ballet classes from the age of 8 (approx).

Once dancers have reached the required physical development they are able to attend pre-pointe classes and they must attend an assessment with our dance physio to ensure they are ready to safely progress onto pointe.

If your dancer is in Grade 3 Ballet or above this year and has been in technical ballet lessons for at least two years, they are eligible to join one of our Pre-Pointe classes to start their Pointe journey.

Aspire - Elite Classical Ballet Extension Program

Aspire is a program designed for dedicated and passionate ballet students to take their training to the next level. It is an opportunity to fine-tune and advance technical skills, musicality, artistry and performance skills, and for students to receive regular one-to-one coaching.

We have a limited number of spaces remaining in Aspire 2026.

Nut-Free Academy

Please refrain from bringing any food containing nuts to our studios, to help protect our students with allergies.

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Assessments

Did you know that our we use the world-renowned training system of RAD for our ballet classes?

Exams and Assessments are optional, but highly recommended.

DanceStep - Student Teacher Training Program

Students aged 12 and above who would like to assist their dance teachers in class in 2026 can apply to join our DanceStep program.

This is a wonderful program for learning the foundations of teaching and getting real-life experience.
